A pair of Red-tailed Hawks July 4, 2013
A real thrill for me today.
Diane showed me where she had seen them over the past while.
I arrived at lunch to see both male and female plus the calling of two eyas close by.
Female
Male
First sight was the female on the ground - then flew to the tower. Red-tailed Hawk
Just see her head

Red-tailed Hawk - Female more flight shots
Look at that colour
Stunning bird
Notice the white patch on back of head
While sitting in the car I heard two eyas calling in the back trees. No
way to look for them. On private property.
Red-tailed Hawk - female July 4, 2013
Here is the female Red-tailed hawk. Notice the full crop on her.
Into the sun but didn't want to miss her in case she flew away.
nice landing
Again not sure if the same female as last year but will research this weekend.
Red-tailed Hawks - just north of last years nest. Male July 4, 2013
What a thrill. Diane has found a pair of Red-tailed hawks just
north of last years pair.
Not sure if they are the same one yet but will do some side by side shots later this weekend to see.
Handsome male

No Red-tailed Hawks in 2013
After many years of watching the Red-tailed Hawks they have moved on. Will miss the wonderful excitement they created.

It appears that the red-tailed hawks have moved to a new area. Great memories were made at this nest.
