Red Tailed Hawk soaring in the sky. April 3, 2011

The male was on the nest and the female on the hydro field. A cooper hawk came into the territory and was very quickly asked to leave by female. A few shots of the female soaring.

2013

July 3, 2013 I got an email from Diane saying she had seen Red-tailed Hawks north of last years nest. We went to have a look and sure enough there is a pair of adults and at least two eyas calling deep in the woods. Saw both male and female today. Diane had visual on two fledged juveniles.
We don't know if they are the same pair. Will need to research photos from past years. Some new posting from today July 4, 2013.

The Story of the Red-Tailed Hawks of Wexford

Going back to 2009 Gary Hohs and Diane Shears saw a pair of Red-Tailed hawks by their house. Using their notes I will start to add photos and information on the nest site. Enjoy.

FYI the pair are back for 2011 and have some great stories and photos to share with you.
