Female testing Nest March 14 to March 30, 2010

At 8:00Am on March 14 we noticed the female was sitting on the nest. The nest is longer visible due to growth of spruce branches.
At 17:45 we witness the two red-tails mating again.

On March 19 the pair continue to build the nest. They are disturbed and mobbed by blue jays. They changed trees to escape harassment of blue jays.

They continue to hunt by tower, court, sit on elm tree and build the nest

On March 20, 2010 at 12:30 we see the female with a full crop on the hydro tower and the male arrives and mates immediately. Then again mates at 16:14.

On march 24, 2010 the male and female sit side by side on the elm tree conversing. Nest build is really their top priority.
